Exhibition New York 2026
In May 2026, one of my photographs was part of an international group exhibition organised by Artist Talk Magazine in New York. The exhibition was presented at One Art Space on Warren Street, in the heart of Tribeca. It opened on 5 May and remained open to the public until 10 May.
As part of the programme, Artist Talk also presented art on a large digital billboard in Times Square on 7 May (Further information about the exhibition).
New York has fascinated me as a photographer ever since I first visited the city in 2024. Its energy, its contrasts and its constant movement shape its public spaces. At the same time, there are always those brief, quiet moments that I search for with my camera.
To exhibit one of my own photographs in this city and to see it alongside works by artists from around the world was something very special to me. The different artistic perspectives made the exhibition a place of encounter and exchange. Photography, painting and other forms of expression were presented side by side, offering different views of the world we live in today.
For me, taking part meant more than presenting a single photograph. It connected my photographic work with the city, its people and an international community of artists. New York became not only a place I explored with my camera, but also part of my own journey as a photographer.
Im Mai 2026 war eine meiner Fotografien Teil einer internationalen Gruppenausstellung des Artist Talk Magazine in New York. Präsentiert wurde die Ausstellung im One Art Space in der Warren Street, mitten in Tribeca.
Die Eröffnung fand am 5. Mai statt, anschließend war die Ausstellung bis zum 10. Mai öffentlich zugänglich. Begleitend zeigte Artist Talk am 7. Mai Kunst auf einem großformatigen digitalen Billboard am Times Square. Weitere Informationen zur Ausstellung.
New York ist eine Stadt, die mich als Fotograf seit ich 2024 das erste mal dort war fasziniert. Ihre Energie, ihre Gegensätze und die ständige Bewegung prägen den öffentlichen Raum. Zugleich entstehen immer wieder jene kurzen, stillen Augenblicke, nach denen ich mit meiner Kamera suche. Eine eigene Fotografie in dieser Stadt auszustellen und sie gemeinsam mit den Arbeiten internationaler Künstlerinnen und Künstler zu sehen, war für mich etwas Besonderes.
Die unterschiedlichen künstlerischen Positionen machten die Ausstellung zu einem Ort der Begegnung und des Austauschs. Fotografie, Malerei und weitere Ausdrucksformen standen nebeneinander und eröffneten verschiedene Blicke auf unsere Gegenwart.
Für mich war die Teilnahme mehr als die Präsentation eines einzelnen Bildes. Sie verband meine fotografische Arbeit mit der Stadt, ihren Menschen und einer internationalen Gemeinschaft von Kunstschaffenden. New York wurde dadurch nicht nur zu einem Ort, den ich mit der Kamera erkundete, sondern auch zu einem Teil meines eigenen Weges als Fotograf.

Since 2018, I have returned to Marseille time and again, drawn by its vibrant energy, its people, its moments and, above all, its streets.
The city breathes through its murals, graffiti, textures and the constantly changing messages left on its walls by anonymous artists. It is alive, always transforming and revealing new layers of colour and meaning.
This photograph was taken in the Cours Julien district in 2018 and later refined in post-processing. I was drawn to the bold contrast and the single red accent of the post – a quiet yet striking detail against the monochrome façade. A moment of urban stillness, full of expression.
Seit 2018 kehre ich immer wieder nach Marseille zurück – angezogen von seiner lebendigen Energie, seinen Menschen, seinen Momenten und vor allem: seinen Straßen.
Die Stadt atmet durch ihre Wandgemälde, Graffitis, Texturen und die sich ständig ändernden Botschaften, die anonyme Künstler auf ihren Mauern hinterlassen. Sie ist lebendig, transformiert sich ständig und enthüllt sich in neuen Schichten von Farbe und Bedeutung.
Dieses spezielle Bild entstand bereits 2018 im Viertel Cours Julien und wurde später in der Nachbearbeitung verfeinert. Ich war inspiriert vom kühnen Kontrast und dem einzigen roten Akzent des Pfostens – einem stillen, markanten Detail inmitten der monochromen Fassade. Ein Moment urbaner Stille – voller Ausdruck.
